Maryland State Police say the Chevrolet Suburban that Steele was traveling in was hit by a Chevrolet Cavalier at an intersection of Dorsey Road and Ridge Road in Hanover near the Baltimore Washington International Airport. The driver of the Cavelier was 19-year-old Baltimore resident Brittany Laporte. Preliminary reports are citing driver error.

Paramedics drove Steele and the two troopers who were riding with him to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie where they were treated and released. Steele reportedly went home to rest afterward.

In Linthicum Heights last week, Maryland State Police, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, the State Highway Administration, and people from the private sector gathered at the Maritime Institute of Technology to come up with a plan to reduce the number of fatalities, injuries, and motorist crashes that occur on Maryland’s highways as a result of vehicle-related accidents.

A Delaware man was arrested for driving under the influence this weekend in Maryland. Maryland State Police say that Frederick Neil Cline was speeding and driving eastbound on Route 50 in a westbound lane when his car collided with Gavin Jay Bayline’s car. Bayline, a Salisbury resident, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment.

-nearly 18,000 people were killed.

In Salisbury’s Newtown Historic District, pedestrians and drivers can rest a little easier when navigating through their streets. Devices designed to slow traffic are going to be permanently added to the neighborhood.

A landscaped median will be installed at the entrance of Route 13 and at Division and Mill Streets, while four-way

This person can verify the extent of your injuries and testify for you in court. Below, we have included a sample of a document that we filed in Circuit Court where we designated a particular physician as an expert witness for our client, the plaintiff, who was injured in a car accident. We have redacted the names of the individuals involved for purposes of confidentiality.

Failure to wear a seat belt can sometimes affect the outcome of a personal injury lawsuit. In some states, failure to wear a seat belt can decrease the amount of compensation a plaintiff can receive. In other states, evidence of failure to wear a safety belt cannot be considered when determining the plaintiff’s damages.

In Maryland, more than 120 state law enforcement agencies are cracking down on passengers and drivers who don’t wear safety belts. The “Click It Or Ticket” campaign is part of a nationwide initiative to reduce auto accident deaths and increase Maryland’s 91% safety belt use rate.

State law enforcement groups have set up more than 100 seat belt checkpoints and enforcement zones where individuals not wearing seat belts will be ticketed. Special attention will be paid to safety belt use at night.
